Amavisca was raised in Los Angeles, California and relocated to the Imperial Valley in 2000 when he accepted a position in the Imperial County District Attorney’s office as a Deputy District Attorney. Amavisca worked in this position from 2000-2006 until he opened his own practice in El Centro on State Street.

Jason Amavisca believes the District Attorney’s Office exist to serve the people. He intends to reach out into the communities to strengthen the relationship between the District Attorney’s Office and the people they serve as well as forging a solid relationship between all levels of law enforcement.

Jason Amavisca believes the District Attorney’s Office exists to serve the people. He intends to reach out into the communities to strengthen the relationship between the District Attorney’s Office and the people they serve as well as forging a solid relationship between all levels of law enforcement.

Amavisca stands for law and order!

Amavisca was raised in Los Angeles, California and relocated to the Imperial Valley in 2000 when he accepted a position in the Imperial County District Attorney’s office as a Deputy District Attorney. Amavisca worked in this position from 2000-2006 until he opened his own practice in El Centro on State Street.

Jason brings years of experience in the legal field working as an attorney with insurance fraud, misdemeanor prosecutor and felony-level prosecutor. Amavisca has hundreds of hours working to make the Imperial County region a safer place to be. He has worked on high-level crimes such as murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, and domestic violence. He has a strong passion to help our local young people to succeed through education and opportunity. Amavisca serves as an Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University Calexico as well as the Brawley campus during the last five years teaching law and guiding students to careers in law and law enforcement.

Amavisca stands for law and order and that laws should be applied to all people – equally and justly. He believes that the victims of crime should be treated with the utmost respect and care that they deserve after suffering a tragedy. Amavisca has a passion for law that has shown through over his many years of practice and service to the Imperial County community. He is focused on making communities safer by holding offenders accountable.
